The SUNY Polytechnic Institute’s 3 56,000-square-foot Zero Energy Nanotechnology (ZEN) building is the largest mixed-use clean energy facility in the world and it generates its own power. The ZEN Building was designed to generate as much energy as it uses over the course of a year using renewable resources. It was the second largest construction project in the Albany area after the $2 billion GlobalFoundries computer chip plant expansion. Some of the tenants include: M+W Group, a global engineering company, +/- 30,000 square feet housing of critical state data operations, The CNSE Children’s Museum of Science and Technology and 50,000 square feet of space for CommerceHub, an Albany software company. L & R provided MWBE Compliance Monitoring close-out and provided MWBE & EEO outreach during the preconstruction and construction phases of the $191M construction project.
