Hewitt Hall Alfred State – Student Leadership Center

The Student Leadership Center at Alfred State College is a 69,000 SF, four story student center building located in the heart of the academic campus. The Center has a “state-of-the-art” leadership institute as well as a café, and spaces for student-run clubs and organizations. The center houses a mixed program of campus club & student government offices, public gathering spaces, food services, a climbing wall, a radio station and a “dirty space” for students to engage in engineering projects. L & R provided WMBE & EEO Outreach during the pre-construction and compliance monitoring construction phase of the $29M construction project. Responsibilities throughout the preconstruction/construction phases included attending monthly project meetings, conducting site visits, review of monthly MWBE & EEO submittals, MWBE Subcontractor payment review, certified payroll review, completion of monthly MWBE & EEO reports and assisting with any issues that may affect the approved utilization plan.
